Managing Digestive Disorders

My name is Lilith Maclin and if you suffer from a digestive disorder, you can find a wealth of information about this type of medical condition in my blog. Three years ago, my husband was having severe stomach cramps and his doctor told him that he had a digestive disorder called ulcerative colitis. After my husband was diagnosed, I did thorough research to learn how to control and manage this disorder. We kept track of everything that my husband ate and when a certain food caused a flare-up of his condition, he eliminated that food from his diet. By learning all we could about this digestive disorder, my husband has been able to live pain free. If you want more information about this disorder and how to manage it, you can find it here by reading my blog.

Have You Been In These Situations? You Should Get A COVID-19 Test

Louella Davidson

If you've been in close contact with someone who has coronavirus, or if you're experiencing symptoms yourself, it's important to get a test to confirm whether or not you have the virus. Of course, it is not always as clear-cut.

You may find yourself uncertain if you should get a COVID-19 test. Here are some situations where you should get a COVID-19 test.

Somebody in Your Office Tested Positive

If someone who you have been in close contact with at work tests positive for COVID-19, it is recommended that you get tested as well. This is especially important if you have been sharing an office or other small space with the person who tested positive.

Even if you had little personal interaction with the other individual, you should get tested. This is because others in the office may have interacted with them.

Somebody Next to You in the Movie Theater Was Coughing

If you were in a theater and somebody next to you was coughing, you may want to take a test. While coughing does not necessarily indicate an active COVID-19 case, it's better to be safe if you plan to be around others in the near future.

You Went to a Bar Last Weekend

If you went to a bar or restaurant this weekend and are now feeling sick, you should get tested. This is especially important if you develop a fever or start coughing. You might think that you have a regular cold or flu, but many people do get COVID-19 on a regular weekend outing.

A crowded dance floor is not the only situation in which COVID-19 can be transmitted. Even sitting at a bar or restaurant indoors could come with some level of risk.

You Were on an Airplane or Crowded Bus Last Week

If you were on an airplane or bus where social distancing was not possible, you may want to get a test. This is especially important if you start to feel sick in the days following your travel. Testing a few times after your travels can give you peace of mind.

COVID-19 Tests Are Easier to Use Now Than Ever

If you're worried about getting a COVID-19 test, don't be. The tests are easy to use and they are becoming more and more widely available. You can take them home or get tested on-site, but reliable information is more available now than in the past.

For more information about COVID-19 testing, contact a local testing center.
