  • Limiting sugar and sodium

However, if your loved one remains home, you can help keep them safe by adding more light, improving visibility, eliminating tripping hazards, and adding handrails.

You may also want to add taller toilet seats or get special chairs and chair lifts. If you're still worried about your loved one, consider hiring a home caretaker. They can provide occasional help or around-the-clock care. Besides caring for your loved one, they may also provide light housekeeping, errands, and much more.
