Managing Digestive Disorders

My name is Lilith Maclin and if you suffer from a digestive disorder, you can find a wealth of information about this type of medical condition in my blog. Three years ago, my husband was having severe stomach cramps and his doctor told him that he had a digestive disorder called ulcerative colitis. After my husband was diagnosed, I did thorough research to learn how to control and manage this disorder. We kept track of everything that my husband ate and when a certain food caused a flare-up of his condition, he eliminated that food from his diet. By learning all we could about this digestive disorder, my husband has been able to live pain free. If you want more information about this disorder and how to manage it, you can find it here by reading my blog.

    24 February 2017

While your eye examination can reveal the presence of cataracts, nearsightedness, glaucoma, or conjunctivitis, it can also tell your eye doctor a thing or two about your overall health. They may leak when they cough or release a large amount of urine in an unexpected accident. They may also have to go frequently throughout the day and at night.

  • Should You Ditch Your Doc In Favor Of Urgent Care Clinics? Not On Your Life!

    22 December 2016

Retail centers and drug stores with urgent care clinics make it very easy to forget about the family doctor altogether. Instead of scheduling routine visits and going through the hassle of yearly wellness exams, you may be tempted to ditch your doc and just rely on the urgent care clinic for the one or two times that you actually need a doctor during the year—especially if your doctor's office isn't the most convenient but there's an urgent care a few blocks from where you live or work.

  • Could Flip Flops Be Harming Your Feet?

    8 December 2016

If you live in a part of the country with temperate autumns and winters, your flip flops may never get a break from daily wear. These comfortable slip-ons come in every color and style under the sun and can be suitable for casual wear or even more dressy occasions (albeit amid a bit of controversy at times). However, despite their enduring power as a beach accessory, mounting evidence shows that flip flops may not be safe for repeated wear or long walks.

  • 3 Signs You Might Have Leaky Gut Syndrome

    30 November 2016

Lots of people have bathroom issues and stomach problems every now and then. If you have frequent issues, however, there might be a more serious health issue at hand, such as leaky gut syndrome. There are tests that you can have done if you think you might have leaky gut syndrome, so if any of these signs apply to you -- particularly on a regular basis -- it might be time to talk to your doctor about your options.
